HONEY OAT BARS

Breakfast Bars Recipe @ http://treatntrick.blogspot.com

Breakfast Bars Recipe @ http://treatntrick.blogspot.com

Honey Oat  Bars are excellent for on the go breakfast or quick snack anytime of the day.

It was super easy and pretty quick to prepare.  Use your preferred combo like sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds  or cranberries if you like. In fact the combination are endless.

Honey Oat Bars are free from wheat, dairy free and vegan   so they are good for those with food allergies.

I used chopped almond,. black sesame seeds and raisin for a total of 120 g.  Add 2 tablespoon of honey   if you want it sweeter.

Honey Oat Bars

HONEY OAT BARS
Serves  2-3

125 g rolled oat
1/4 cup  honey
1/4 cup butter
60 g dry fruits
60 g  chopped nuts

METHOD

Grease 8 x 8 in pan. Preheat oven @ 130 C.

In a small saucepan, heat butter and honey until melted.

Combine rolled oat, dry fruit and chopped nuts in a bowl.

Now pour the butter mixture onto rolled oat mixture, stir until mixture clings together..

Spoon mixture onto prepared pan, using plastic sheet, lightly press  evenly into  pan..

Bake for 30-35 minutes.  While still hot, cit into bars.  Remove from pan to set.

they are not vegan with the honey, so another syrup is needed to stick it together
